Skilled Nursing
Nursing Facility Care • (Also known as Skilled Care, Skilled Nursing Care) - On this level of care, residents who require the services of a trained, licensed nurse or licensed therapist (such as physical, occupational and/or speech theapist), to carry out their plan of care are given the medical assistance they need. An individualized plan of care is developed by a care plan team. This level of care may be suitable for those needing total care or rehabilitative care (such as after suffering a stroke or recovering from a fall/fracture). River's Bend is approved by the Medicare and Medicaid Programs.
Nursing Facility care can also be utilized by residents who require assistance with their activities of daily living, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, meals, medications, transfers from bed to chair, etc. This level used to be known as “Intermediate Care.”
