Assisted Living Community • Here, resident enjoy comforts of independence in a resort-style area in a secured environment. An emergency call system is available and medication reminders are routine. Delicious meals are served and engaging activities, both inside and outside are scheduled. This is a perfect option for senior-citizens wanting to remain as independent as possible and yet receive just the amount of help they need.

Nursing Facility Care • (Also known as Skilled Care, Skilled Nursing Care) - On this level of care, residents who require the services of a trained, licensed nurse or licensed therapist (such as physical, occupational and/or speech theapist), to carry out their plan of care are given the medical assistance they need. An individualized plan of care is developed by a care plan team. This level of care may be suitable for those needing total care or rehabilitative care (such as after suffering a stroke or recovering from a fall/fracture). River's Bend is approved by the Medicare and Medicaid Programs.

Nursing Facility care can also be utilized by residents who require assistance with their activities of daily living, such as grooming, bathing, dressing, meals, medications, transfers from bed to chair, etc. This level used to be known as “Intermediate Care.”

Child Day Care • Our Child Day Care Program is located in a secured area of our center and staffed by dedicated individuals. As a matter of fact, many of our employees use the service for their own children. For those who wish to participate, some kids participate in certain activities with the Senior Citizens of the nursing center from time to time. When you witness the “red buggy” moving throughout the center, you’ll be amazed at the good cheer, smiles and waves the kids get from the residents.

Respite Services • Going on vacation? Need a few days away? River’s Bend can provide care for your loved one on a short term basis, known as “Respite” care. Call us today for more information.

Personal Care • This level of care is for residents who are fairly independent but still need assistance by caregivers for basic activities of daily living. (Such as administration of medications, assistance with bathing and grooming). Residents on this level of care are able to walk by themselves or able to use their own wheelchairs, walkers or other assistive devices. Many of our residents, on all levels of care enjoy social and recreational activities and nutritious meals that can be prescribed by a physician if necessary. This level of care is Medicaid approved.

Adult Day Care • Providing care for someone at home can be overwhelming at times. River’s Bend offers a Medical Model Adult Day Care Service. Visit, call or E-mail us for information about our 4 or 8 hour programs. We can help the at-home caregiver provide care throughout the day while they rest, shop, or just take some time for themselves. Nutritious meals, activities, and a variety of medical services, including medication administration, bathing, and much more can be provided. This program is approved by Medicaid and you may be eligible for other programs offered by Caregiver Advocacy Groups in the area. Please contact us today for more information.
